I didn't get to the top of this majestic landmark, not this trip. Actually, this trip was supposed to be to the Pequop Mountains about 25 miles west, but my '93 Ford Ranger broke down (turned out to be a broken transmission), and while I was waiting for my wife to drive the 2 hours from Bountiful past Wendover & rescue me - yeah, I know, not terribly manly for a desert explorer - I hiked around a short while & took some photos.
On a clear day you can see Pilot Peak from the Wasatch Range (in certain spots), which is 120+miles as the crow flies, and it is visible from ranges north (RaftRiver, Grouse Creek, Goose Creek), from the south (DeepCreeks), and west (Pequop, probably the Humboldts & Rubys, too.) This peak stands out. It's 10,600 feet, with a lot of talus exposure, which means some time consuming hiking, and unhappy knees and feet. I'm going to try & get to it later in the summer, after I've build up more endurance.

The trusty RAV comes to the rescue. We towed the Ranger desert rat mobile 150 miles on a cheap tow rope. Crazy, yeah, I know, but it was cheap.

Got a sunburn on my legs. It was definitely sunny, if cool (about 70F):
There actually were some wildflowers in the sun drenched southern exposure:
